How I Use Bali Body

My Day With Bali Body

I'm an avid beach-goer, and one of my favorite product lines that I use not only for days at the beach but also on the daily is Bali Body! I have almost every single product they've ever made, and that's because I'm OBSESSED with their stuff! From tanning oils to lotions, to BB cream, this is how I use Bali Body on a regular day...

First thing's first, it's a Saturday morning and the sun's out. So what do I do? I throw on a bikini, grab my beach bag and head out. But not before grabbing whichever Bali Body Tanning Oil I decide to use that day OR without their Coconut Lip Balm! Not only is it super nourishing, but it smells sooo good! My lips have never been softer! Finally I'm driving up to the beach! All I wanna do is lay down and soak up the sun! Once I get down and find my perfect spot, I slathering myself in Bali Body's Watermelon Tanning Oil to get my deepest tan. And in addition, I'll usually add their SPF 15 Sunscreen on beforehand so that I don't end up looking like a lobster!

After enjoying the ocean water and radiant sun, it's time to head back! Once I get home, I hop in the shower to rinse the ocean off of me, then I use the Original Bali Body oil and follow up with their moisturizer! It’s super moisturizing and makes my skin silky soft! And I love that the classic tanning oil is perfect for everyday wear- not just the beach; which is why it's such a great product- it's so versatile!

And if it's a night out and I'm not feeling my tannest- I’ll use the bronzing lotion on my legs! It's an antioxidant rich moisturizer with vitamin E in it that makes my legs look so perfectly tanned and flawless! And the great thing about that is that it washes off right after the night! Kicking Off Spring Break!

Stuck in the sun this spring break? I've got you covered with all the spring break essentials you'll need to have the best time! Whether you're going on a cruise or just down to the beach, here are some of my must-have essentials!

Now, before heading down to the beach, you've gotta prep your skin so it's prepared for all those "friendly" UV rays. I suggest slathering on an SPF sunscreen of 15, but - if you really wanna get your glow going, add a tanning oil onto that! I always make sure that if I wanna get a tan, I put on a tanning oil following my sunscreen routine!

In My Bag
When I go to the beach, I'm not going without a beach bag with an arsenal of goods in it! I kid you not - my friends may make fun of me at times, but they're not making fun of me later on when they're begging me to use the stuff I brought! Besides the obvious things like my wallet, phone, sunscreen; I can't leave for the beach without these essentials:

My Bali Body Tanning Oil (obviously),
A hat - Gotta keep that scalp protected!
Sunglasses - In the bright sun, this is one thing you don't wanna forget
SPF chapstick - Sunburnt lips are so NOT sexy
Insulated water bottle - I'm one of those weird people that has to have cold water 24/7 and this is one of the most important things I can't leave for the beach without! Staying hydrated is super important when you're at the beach!

Just Face It

DO. NOT. FORGET. YOUR. FACE.
I cannot reiterate how important it is to protect your face!!! Whether your makeup has SPF in it or you use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it- whatever you do, DON'T forget the SPF! I only use face lotion with SPF in it, and basically all of the makeup I use has SPF as well! Gotta keep your face looking young! The sun's harmful UVA & UVB rays can seriously damage your skin- maybe not on the outside, but even beneath your skin's layer there can be sun damage from lack of proper care! I don't know about you- but I wanna stay looking young as long as possible!!!

Important Things You Forget To Protect:

Eyes are windows to the soul- so make sure they stay that way!
You always wanna protect your eyes! I for one, NEVER leave my house without sunglasses! And if I forget them, I know I have at least 2 other pairs in the car! (Not kidding). As an added bonus - you wanna make sure your sunglasses have either UVA/UVB protection or are polarized! Otherwise, it may seem like you're protected but the harmful rays can still penetrate through the lens- yikes!

Your scalp! I don't know if you've ever had a sunburnt scalp, but it sucks! It peels and flakes and you end up looking like you've got dandruff- not attractive. So unless you're lathering up your scalp with SPF- don't forget to bring a hat!

After-Sun Skincare:

This is extremely important! After being out in the sun all day you wanna make sure that if you're burnt, that you take care of your skin and nourish it! Moisturizing after a long day at the beach is one of the most important things you've gotta do!

When I get home after a long beach day, the first thing I do is put a sheet face mask (preferably one with aloe) in the freezer, then hop in the shower!  Once I get out, I lather myself  in coconut oil fo extra moisture, followed by Hawaiian Tropic's "After Sun" Moisturizer! Then once I'm settled in (with a good movie ready on Netflix) I put on the cold sheet face mask and let that absorb into my skin for about 20-30 minutes, followed by a super hydrating moisturizer! I like to use the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream - it deeply nourishes and soothes the skin!

Stay safe & enjoy your spring break!

Dealing with Stress

Over the last couple of weeks, I've been dealing with a lot of stress trying to balance school, work, and having a social life. And for some reason it's seemed harder now than it has before- possibly because I feel as though I've never been busier than I am now.

In turn, the stress has taken a serious toll on my mind. Now normally when I stress out about something, my brain just shuts down and I don't deal with whatever's stressing me out, but I've been working on ways to deal with my stress instead of just ignoring it, so here are some helpful tips that've helped me cope with it all:

Take a Walk

Whenever I'm stressed out or anxious about something, I'll drive down to the beach to take a long walk and just watch the waves go back and fourth. It's so tranquil and it really helps calm me down and get a better perspective on things that are on my mind.

Call Up Your Girlfriends

What's one thing you can always count on friends for? Talking! Sometimes it really helps to just sit down with someone, one-on-one and get it all out of your system and talk about it, maybe even get some feedback or advice on things.

Draw a Bath

For me a quick fix involves a bath bomb, some candles, and maybe even a glass of wine. Turn on some relaxing music and you've got the perfect bath to drown your troubles away in. The hot water and candles will help you unwind and help you destress.

Breathe

I've learned that breathing exercises are a really helpful way of calming myself down if I get too caught up in my stress. Just sit down, and slowly take long breaths in, and long breaths out. Do this for a few minutes sitting down with your eyes closed and it's a surefire way of calming yourself down.

Write it All Down

This is something I've been doing a lot of lately. I'll carry a notebook with me wherever I go and just write down my thoughts and ideas. It really helps to get everything out by putting pen-to-paper; getting everything out there just helps you let it all go.

Hope this was able to help you guys!
