I, like many, have struggled with issues with my hair for years.
One of the biggest things I worry about when constantly styling my hair is the amount of heat damage I apply to it. I always make sure to prep my hair thoroughly with heat protectant and de-frizzer before bringing in the blowdryer. I also make sure that the products I’m using are actually good for my hair. So after LOTS of research, I’ve compiled a variety of hair products that suit my hairs’ needs, and give it that lil umph I wanted it to have.
Here’s my process:
Typically I wash my hair 2 times per week & try to keep it as low maintenance as possible. I also struggle with flat hair (AKA: it doesn’t have a lot of volume). So I make sure the products I’m using are going to help out with that! My hair stylist told me to switch up the shampoo I use every now and again so that the hair doesn’t get too used to the products I’m using. So I like to rotate the Living Proof full shampoo and the Redken high rise volume lifting shampoo. And the only conditioner I’ve been using lately is the Redken high rise volume lifting conditioner. As far as prepping my hair, I like to start with a heat protectant. I use the Briogeo farewell frizz blow dry perfection heat protectant cream. After that I use the Redken thickening lotion 06 for volume, and end with the Kérastase elixir uptime oil serum after my blow dry.
